New webpage gives the Arctic Youth a voice
Share your history and tell us how you are, is the message in a brand new homepage aimed toward young people in the Arctic
»Your north is my north is our north« is the slogan of a brand new webpage aimed toward the Arctic Youth. In short the homepage is called North3. Here, oung people are encouraged to record and share their views on northern issues and to participate actively in International Polar Year activities.
North3 is supported by Canada's Northern Initiative Fund. The project is part of a larger Arctic youth website called "Ookpik" that provides young northern residents access to Arctic networks, knowledge and events in eight languages. Both are hosted by the International Institute of Sustainable Development in Winnipeg, Canada.
