Large Interest in Arctic Birds
The latest meeting in CBird demonstrated that CBird is one of the key activities in CAFF
The Circumpolar Seabird Group under Caff will introduce four new products in the nearest future. It was reported when CBird conducted its 14th meeting in Nuuk, Greenland 8 - 11 February 2008. The meeting was attended by 25 seabird specialists and managers representing the nine Arctic countries including the Faroe Islands, and an official observer from Great Britain along with several interested local attendees.
The meeting was very successful and generated much discussion and debate. CBird continues to do invaluable work in reseraching Arctic seabirds. CBird has four products that coming out in the near future: (1) Circumpolar Seabird Monitoring Framework, (2) Circumpolar Seabird Monitoring Plan, (3) International Ivory Gull Conservation Strategy, and (4) Harvest of Seabirds in the Arctic.
