Open House Event on Traditional Knowledge 19 October 2014Arctic PeoplesSustainable Development Working Group The Arctic Council and its Sustainable Development Working Group (SDWG) will host a public event in Yellowknife on Monday, October 20, titled “Traditional Knowledge in our Work”. The event will be opened by the Arctic Council’s Chair of the Senior Arctic Officials, Vincent Rigby, and include speakers from local Aboriginal organizations and the Council’s working groups and indigenous permanent participant organizations. The event will showcase how the Arctic Council incorporates traditional knowledge into its work and will provide an opportunity to share and learn about the importance of traditional knowledge.
