Arctic Biodiversity Congress proposal invite 24 March 2014BiodiversityConservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna The Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF), the biodiversity Working Group of the Arctic Council, is arranging the Arctic Biodiversity Congress in Trondheim, Norway on 2-4 December 2014. The Congress is now open for content proposals on any of its three key themes: climate change; mainstreaming biodiversity; and understanding cumulative effects and managing impacts on biodiversity. CAFF is seeking individuals and organizations to provide presentations, organize sessions and submit posters that will encourage a dialogue on Arctic biodiversity among the stakeholders and participants at the Arctic Biodiversity Congress. The Congress will bring together scientists, indigenous peoples, policy-makers, government officials, industry representatives and civil society. The Congress is also a key response to the Arctic Biodiversity Assessment (ABA). Content proposals are invited on any of the Congress’s three themes. Please submit program content proposals via the online submission system by April 30, 2014.
